The name Pandanas comes from the Pandanas
(Pandanus or Pandan tree)

Chosen for its dual meaning

Pan” referencing the steelpan instrument from the Trinidad

Pandanus tree — a culturally significant plant to the Australian First Nations peoples and an integral part of the Northern Rivers coastal ecosystem in New South Wales

Bringing the vibrant atmosphere of Notting Hill Carnival to our local communities

while acknowledging and respecting the rich and living history of the Yaegl people.
